Cancellation and Non-Attendance Policy
At White House Dental and Implant Centre, we are committed to providing high-quality care and using clinical time efficiently. This policy ensures that all patients have fair access to appointments and that our time is used effectively to help as many people as possible.
Booking & Managing Appointments
Appointments can be scheduled or rescheduled by calling us on 01883 742549. Our system aims to reduce wait times and ensure timely access to care.
Appointment Reminders
Email/text and call reminders are sent ahead of your appointment. Please let us know if your contact details change.
Cancelling or Missing Appointments
We kindly request at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. This allows us to offer the time to another patient in need.
Cancellations 24 hours’ or less, or missed appointments, are subject to a fee of £30 per 15 minutes of scheduled time.
Important Note on Emergencies & Repeat Cancellations
We completely understand that illness or emergencies do occur and will take valid reasons into account on an individual basis. However, if two late cancellations or missed appointments occur within a 12-month period, even for reasons such as illness or personal emergencies, a cancellation fee will still apply, and you may be asked to find another dental practice for your care.
This policy helps us remain fair to all patients and ensure appointment availability for those waiting.
Private Patients
Repeat short-notice cancellations or non-attendance on two occasions within 12 months may result in being asked to seek care elsewhere. This applies even where previous appointments were cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
NHS Patients
Two short-notice cancellations or missed appointments within 12 months may result in removal from our NHS list, due to limited funding and high demand.
If you haven’t attended in over 2 years, we will assume you no longer wish to be seen on the NHS. You’re welcome to continue with us privately or call NHS 111 to find another NHS provider.
